Best Social Media Apps For Your Smartphone

Social media has truly taken over the world and I don’t know about you, but I don’t have a single friend or family member that is not involved in social media in some form or another. The key to social media has come from mobile phone usage and every social media channel has an application which you can download so that you can stay in touch when you are on the move.

There is a huge range of social media options and here we are going to take a look at the social media apps which you simply must have on your smartphone.

Instagram

Instagram can be accessed on desktop but it is highly limited because the idea of he photo-sharing service is that you use it via mobile phone. The Instagram app is fantastic and you can post your recent photos directly to it either through the new story feature or directly to your profile. The app allows you to alter and tweak your photos so that you can make them look even better and you can easily engage with those real Instagram followers who love nothing more than saying active and getting involved.

Facebook

The world’s most popular social media site is Facebook and the large majority of its users are active on the site through their mobile phones. If you want to stay on top of what your friends are doing and keep them up to date with what you are doing, this is the most important social media application to have on your phone. In truth, I find the application much easier to navigate than their desktop site and even when I do have my laptop handy, I still use the app.

Whatsapp

Just about everyone I know has this messaging application and it is a great way for people to stay in touch with one another, no matter where they are. The application lets you send messages in video, photo, voice message or text message format and you can easily share files and links across the platform. Despite whatever Apple, Android or Blackberry seek to do in terms of how we send messages, Whatsapp is unlikely to be beaten for some time and you need to get it on your phone.

Twitter

For many years the Twitter interface was clunky and difficult to use but after a major revamp, it is now one of the sleekest social media apps on the market. Stay in touch with news and trends direct from you mobile, tweet to friends and send messages directly from the app. I love the filters and the lists which you can use on Twitter and all of this is available to you through the fast-moving application.

I honestly can’t remember the last time that I used a social media platform on my desktop and you will be exactly the same once you have downloaded these applications.
