Facebook launched its self destructing messaging app Slingshot in last week in US, which is now available globally. The app is available for download across these Android (Jelly Bean and KitKat) and iPhone (iOS 7) platform across the globe.
Confirming through blog post, the company wrote “Since we launched last week, we’ve heard from lots of people around the world who are excited to give Slingshot a try. Starting today, we’re expanding our initial launch and making Slingshot available internationally!”
The application let you to send or receive photos and videos with up to 15 second duration to other end user which would disappear after they are viewed.
You may think the application is following the Snapchat footprint, but let me tell you Facebook Slingshot is a bit different. Unlike Snapchat, whose messages disappear after being viewed, users of Slingshot will have to reply with a message before they can see the intended original message.
Additionally, there is one more interesting feature in Facebook Slingshot, it allow you to add caption to the video and images before sharing to the others.
You can click on the link to download the app from Google Play Store and Apple App Store
