LG has collaborated with Harman/Kardon to create its new premium Bluetooth stereo headset dubbed Tone Infinim (HBS-900). It has a stylish design that is almost similar to previous Tone series headsets from LG, but unlike others this has a glossy metallic finish. It has retractable wire management technology for tangle-free operation, sound and vibration alert to inform of incoming messages, jog button to fast forward and rewind, current time and battery status.
It use Bluetooth 3.0 technology and supports most audio profiles such as A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP. The Infinim packs a 220mAh battery which boasts the longest standby battery time for a headset in its class i.e 550 hours. It has a 17 hour talk time and can give 14 hours of continuous media playback, jog button to fast forward and rewind through songs easily, and sound and vibrate functions so you can hear incoming messages and calls.
The headset is compatible with all smart devices with Bluetooth but it is optimized particularly for the upcoming LG G3 smartphone. It has the application Name Alert, which announces the name or phone number of person calling and Answer Me+, where raising the G3 to one’s ear will automatically disconnect Tone Infinim to allow for direct use of the smartphone.
The LG Tone Infinim comes in a glossy silver finish and sports a sleek curved design. It is supposed to be available in other colors as well, but for now silver is the only one available. LG has also packed a retractable cord with the Infinim, which leaves no exposed wires to tangle.
It would go on sale starting this summer and will be available worldwide. There is no word on pricing yet.
