How to Make your Computer Talk?


Remember all those movies where the protagonist would jump onto an office chair, hit a few keys and make his computer talk? Well this article is all about making your computer talk. This is quite a simple trick which makes the computer speak whatever input you give it. The cool part is that this trick can be executed on Windows XP, Windows 7, and even Windows 8. Here are a few steps to making your computer talk:

  1. Open Notepad
  1. Copy and paste the code below:

Dim Message, Speak
Message=InputBox(Text to Speech Converter brought to you by MyGadgetReview.in. Please enter the desired text to be converted into speech,MyGadgetReview.in Text to Speech Converter)
Set Speak=CreateObject(sapi.spvoice)

 

Speak.Speak Message

  1. Now, make sure you Save As the file onto your desktop, and rename the file mygadgetreview.vbs
  1. Make sure you add the .vbs extension. Now double click on the file, and it will open a small window. Enter your text and hit enter. Your computer will speak to you!
