Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 with 16.3-megapixel and BSI sensor announced


Samsung has today announced the Galaxy Camera 2 that is going to unveil at CES next week. The camera runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean wrapped under Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. In November 2012, Samsung has launched the digital camera which was essentially running on Android Jelly Bean.

In terms of specifications, device is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and paired with 2GB of RAM. Samsung has carried 4.8 – inch 720 p LCD display with 306 pixel per inches but a major difference in processor and RAM on its predecessor as Galaxy camera only featured 1GB of RAM and 1.3 GHz quad core processor.

The device owns 16.3-megapixel camera with 21x optical zoom, OIS and BSI sensor that can be unique selling point for the company.

It has onboard memory of 8GB that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. The device only features connectivity options that include NFC, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.

Company has not mention the price at the moment or when it could be arrive in India, but that may be detailed during CES.
