Earlier this week, Amazon India had released a teaser saying that it would bring the Samsung Galaxy K zoom to India exclusively. The popular online retailer has just announced that the camera-centric smartphone would be available for pre-order on its website for Rs. 29,999 starting today midnight. The phone will ship on July 9 and will be readily available with Amazon on the same day.
The Galaxy K zoom, which is the second installment in Samsung’s zoom series, offers a 20.7MP rear camera with Xenon Flash, BSI Sensor, OIS and 10x optical zoom with a display of 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display and powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual Core + 1.3 GHz Quad Core Exynos (5260) processor with Mali-T624 GPU. The camera feature being a rarity in the smartphone world. The mobile phone runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and also sports a wide range of specific Samsung features and applications loaded on top of it.
Moreover, the smartphone includes a 2MP front camera for video calling. Sadly, its back camera is only capable of full HD video recording, and not 4K, as the Galaxy S5.It has 2GB RAM and comes with 16GB of internal memory instead of 8GB of storage in the international variant. It has 4G LTE, DLNA, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.0 LE, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and packs a 2,430mAh battery.
