Xiaomi Mi Band budget fitness tracker launched in China at $13

The Chinese giant Xiaomi has not just stopped with launch of Xiaomi Mi4, but also brought the company first fitness tracker band called Mi Band in China.

The smartband has three LED notification lights that connect with your Android smartphones via Bluetooth 4.0 and provide you notifications for calls and messages. It can also vibrate.

It has IP67 rating and comes with a set of sensors that monitors your fitness and tracks your sleep.

If you are using Xiaomi Mi3 or Mi4 then it can be used to lock/unlock the smartphone when the band is within proximity. This feature would be also available for other Mi smartphones with Android 4.4 update. It has 41 mAh battery that promises up to 30 days of standby.

The fitness tracker has almost similar specifications as the Sony’s smartband, but the more exciting part about the Mi band is it cost just CNY79 — roughly $13. As of now the company has not detailed about its launch plan outside the country.
