The Chinese device maker Xiamoi had recently announced its plan to enter into Tablet segment. The company built its first tablet device MiPad and launches back in May.
Now, it seems the company is selling the device in domestic market. According to the official post on company’s forum, it says that the company has sold 50000 units of the MiPad tablet on launch day thereby running out of stocks. To those who is not aware of its specification, the tablet is powered by a 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 326 ppi with 4:3 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by a 2.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor. It has an 8MP rear camera with Sony BSI stacked sensor, 1080p video recording, f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It comes along with 2GB of RAM, 16GB / 64GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot up to 128GB. It is backed by a 6700 mAh powerful battery and runs on Android-based MiUI ROM.
The company has not mentioned the location where they had sold this much unit in few minutes, but we are chasing as it would be home country. With a minimum price of Rs. 14400 for the base 16GB version, Xiaomi is in direct tablet war with Apple iPad Mini.
